Antique 1891 NY Torsion Balance Scale Co Brass & Glass Pharmacy Lab Drug Store

True antique!
Last patent date was May 19th of 1891.
Produced by the The Torsion Balance Co. New York, USA. Style 5020.
Was used as a pharmacy scale in central Indiana.
Heavy duty!
Made of solid brass with thick clear glass panels.
Scale appears to be complete and I believe it works. I’m not sure exactly how they work, but all parts move as they should. The leveling knob on left side is stuck (photo 11). Needs some WD/40. One of the scale pans has purposely been creased to help pour out pills into bottle. There is one small crack to left glass panel (seen in last photo). Lid opens and closes as it should. Brass shows age appropriate patina. Glass could use a detailed cleaning.

Measures 11.5” long by 5” deep and 6” tall.
